Bought this light, because Sony does not come with the camera light. Works well in terms of indoor shooting near upto ~ 8 ft. The light is small enough to carry along even a good amount of light. Locking mechanism to be at hand, so light will not dim. The light is powered by the camera so you do not need to have extra batteries. Fairly low power consumption, but the battery shows a decrease as expected.

This is a good enough light. It is smaller than it looks in photos but offers a punch. You're not gonna light up the whole room or a dark forest, but it works on humans will be some feet away. This is what it is … not the biggest or baddest, but on simple jobs will more than do the trick.

I was very surprised when I received this item. I felt what might be possible to do this for around 30.00 – 40.00 the field …. Well, it is very small, but clear, he took things for 2 to 3 feet to be very good. This gives the effect that this is the lighting on the darker area, the more ….. But belive most of the external light have the same effect. In the case of shooting in the dark to 3 feet away, the difference between that of a bad shot, and half a very good shot. What I am going to use it mainly to additional lighting in poorly lit area. It works great for this. And at that price ……… The unit snaps on very easily and the camera tightens down. Very easy to use. You can also rotate the purpose of the light on all sides, and vice versa on the right side. The light is very elegant and small. It is a little larger than a square and rotate the cube flash for old instamatic camera. It looks good on top of the camera. The only thing I do not like is the amount of juice to suck from my HD video camera. So I bought 10 hours of additional battery for my unit. This should address the problem. Wish they were a built-in fees, but the entity would be more extensive and probably ugly. Oh, and come from a little jewel bag pouch to hold the light in. I am very happy with this item and recommend it for the price!
