We finally have a flange, which acts on our Beagle. A description of the product, said the "stubborn" dogs. Akitas. Malamutes. Ticks. They have nothing on the Beagle scent to follow. Well, this works. This is our third year in the collar. We hope so.
It is important to understand that "work" in question is a "strong adjustment issues" and not "guarantee the dog does not leave the border." Radio Fence is a great product, but it is _not_ the fence … to _training aid_. The training aid, I can recommend this collar as a – hopefully temporary – enhanced version of a regular collar for the "stubborn" dog. In our case, the dog, which refers to 8-month yellow lab acquired by women in order to rescue the situation (before the owner gave her to find unmanageable). It is a restless, active pup, who spent most of his life without _any_ correction, and for our safety and our sanity, we needed something that would get her attention. This collar can not be … She is now in compliance with the limits, and we want to change it to a regular collar soon. (When I move to our summer house a few months, we will probably have to use it again …)
I have a chocolate lab and during the first installation of the fence was still a 3 month old puppy. Originally I went with petsafe stubborn dog, but on the fence looking at the size of the collar, which is the same as that I am review I decided, is too large to put on my cute little puppy. So I go to the deluxe version of the signals, which worked fine, until my dog was 7 months when he realized that it was worthwhile for him to get loose and get shocked. So I bought this collar, and over the last 5 days he is in the yard. He was in shock when you first bought it and did not want to go from. I think that some of them are the size, sound, vibration, and stronger shocks. Compared to light that uses a standard flange 9V battery, which is cheaper and easier to find than petsafe kind. Doing some research, there are two packages for the receiver RF-275 and PRF-275. Both are the same. The PRF-275 is an older packaging. The same exact as the receiver. Overall, I would recommend this collar if you have a large size dog. UPDATE: about a month after the purchase of the product, my dog began to restart the fence to play with the neighbors dogs. Now it happens every day! I do not know what to do. My rating would be 3 stars as it all depends on the dog. Amazon does not let me change the star rating.
After several attempts to escape, my very stubborn Boxer decided that it was not worth a "revision", and now respects his boundries. Other systems were not powerful enoungh but this seems to go trick-I hope!
