The Griffin iClear Hard Case is a solid item. It holds together around the iPod tightly, with no noticeable movement of the iPod inside the case. The case is difficult enough to open when I am trying that I’m not concerned about it opening on its own.

I recommend this product to anyone looking for an inexpensive, but solid way to protect your iPod 2G

I have 3 different models of the iClear case series:

    -iClear for iPod Video

-iClear for iPod Nano 1st gen

-iClear for iPod nano 2nd gen

The iClear is definitely one of the best I’ve come across. The plastic doesn’t scratch easily, but don’t expect it to be invincible either. It’s surprisingly thin and still offers a great deal of protection, by no means is it brittle or easy to crack. The iPod itself actually looks cooler inside the case! The plastic is very clear and the display can be viewed at any angle without distortions or strange coloration. The bottom part of the iPod where the connector is installed is not restricted, allowing for most aftermarket connectors to still work. Also, on the headphone side the jack has ample room and I haven’t had a single problem connecting even my studio Sony MDR V-700 headphones.

I’ve had the iPod in my pocket rubbing against loose change and keys and the case hasn’t picked up significant scratches. The case itself can be opened very easily sliding a coin in one of the two little slits. No more struggling to take out the ipod for the occasional cleaning, but still attaches strongly enough to never come apart by itself.

A great design initiative on behalf of Griffin was to make the bottom part out of a slightly softer plastic so that it would not develop cracks in time after repeatedly taking it apart.

I highly recommend this case to anyone looking for a hard plastic cover for their iPod. I’ve had silicone ones as well and have come to dislike how they can tear if you’re not careful or collect dust due to their “sticky” nature.

I used this for two weeks to make sure I can assess it properly. It makes quite a good job. The plastic feels a bit thin, but that, in an easy access to the Click Wheel (complaint I've had on other cases). Two things, however, which detracts from the: (1) It is quite slippery. I fell a few times (though not protect my Nano, I'd prefer not dropping it in the first place!) I (2) As far as easy access (important for me because my Nano transfer to another case when I go to the gym) and then in two pieces was a bit of trouble. A little more design effort (eg Speck SeeThru Lucid-case offers) and this will have zgarnięte five stars.

In the case protects the iPod nano (Gen 2) against scratches and other direct assaults, but when a small retaining tangs formed either at the end of crack and break, which will, the iPod is free to fall out when held vertically, which mine is not damaged and both ends disrupted when the fell to the ground. Do not buy this cover!

Overall I am satified with the case. This is a small and compact. It is convenient to have a nano and bulk to the nano doesn't the slim design. I have droped nano (for) a few times and it survived. In case of no sleep when dropped. Price seems to be quite high, at a minimum is really a piece of plastic is. I would like to buy another if I had too.
