I bought this for camping and I am very pleased. The design is a canvas and metal, not plastic, and even if they have been treated to some pretty extreme conditions is held by only a fine. I carry a tent, sleeping bag, food and other basic information and a lot of space. This is a good opportunity.
The construction is very tight, with the metal at the end of the video tapes / sliding closures. No plastic! It is much bigger than I thought, but it is not bad. Pockets are easily accessible from the pocket flaps closed. (Easy to pick your pocket.) The braces are lightly padded, so they are not too uncomfortable with the 30 + lbs of books in it. Very roomy. Great for weekend trips too.
